Protek E-ADAPTIVE for Tall Foams and Custom Cases

Description

Traditional custom case manufacturing can be very time consuming – Each layer of foam has to be cut to depth individually and then laminated together. The E_ADAPTIVE can process up to 6″ of foam at one time with different height cavities all in the same piece of foam – streamlining production by requiring less manufacturing steps. Fewer layers mean less room for errors = less material and labor goes to waste.

Features

The Protek E-ADAPTIVE is the first CNC Working Table designed for Tall Foams and Custom Cases.  The high gantry (15″ above the work surface) allows the E-ADAPTIVE to route up to 6″ of foam at one time.  The E-ADAPTIVE name comes from numerous configuration options that allow the machine to be tailored to your specific production needs.  Multiple tools are available – routing heads, electric and pneumatic knife cutting heads, rotary cutting saw, fixed cutting blade, creasing wheels, and more.  A second and third cutting head can added for increased cutting efficiency.  For maximum production, you can use dual work areas – the machine cuts on one work area while the operator load/unloads cut parts and material on the other, ensuring the machine is always producing parts.  The Protek E-ADAPTIVE is ready to bring your production to the next level.

  • The CAD / CAM system has a simple and intuitive graphical interface of the SW, making the machine very simple to use. The software can import 2D (or optionally 3D) drawings in various formats (DXF, DWG, EPS, etc.).
  • E-ADAPTIVE Tool Slots – The machine can be configured with a combination of single or multiple (up to 3) spindles and knife heads depending on production needs.
  • Electro Spindle – 15 kW high power SPINDLE – 24,000 rpm, liquid cooled. The tool holding system is HSK F63.
  • Auto Router Bit Changer – Multiple slot automatic planar tool changer on the back of the machine – Allows jobs that use multiple tools to be run without operator intervention and reduces setup time for jobs.
  • Auto Tool Height Setting – Tool length measurement and breaking control carried out by Protek technology.
  • Vacuum or blower material locking system – Sheets and roll goods are held on the table by a blower (better for porous materials) or vacuum pump (better for non-porous materials).  The material locking system can be designed to work with both a blower and vacuum pump to process the widest range of materials.
  • Heavy Duty Dust Extraction System – The high powered vacuum combined with the Protek vacuum hood leaves either no dust or minimal dust (depending on the material) during the routing process.
  • Control Console – Mobile control console mounted on wheels complete with interface and PC Mitsubishi CNC. All electronics are installed inside the electrical panel located inside the chassis of the machine.
  • Safety System – The E-Adaptive uses laser sensors and pressure mats to keep the operator safe when the machine is running.
